While these commercials were always entertaining, I'll admit they were never very motivating to me. Had the jingle gone something more like..."what would you do for a box of Cocoa Puffs, cherry Twizzler bites, or Haagen Das Mango Sorbet?" I may have been more appropriately inspired.
And speaking of inspiration...this week I have been deeply touched by the book "Yearning for the Living God" by Elder F. Enzio Busche of the quorum of the Seventy (emeritus) which I received for Christmas. Elder Buche's words and experiences are a strong reminder that ours is a God of miracles, who, when we are willing to make sacrifices, live obediently and work hard, will break down barriers and fill our lives with authentic joy.
I recommend the book to all, it inspires enthusiasm to work for God's purposes, to seek more fully to enjoy the plan of happiness and give thanks for the wonderful opportunity to experience life. I add my love and gratitude to God, here.
He is, after all, the God who inspired the invention of CoCoa Puffs, cherry Twizzler bites, and Haagen Das Mango Sorbet.
