A quick trip, 1,200 miles on my FJ Cruiser, two books on tape, and a fantastic funeral/life celebration for my dear, sweet, 92 yr old great-aunt Bernice, equate to a fantastic weekend and the beginning of another fun summer.
At 9:00 Friday night, the Fowler front was bombarded by "dozens of cousins" who shared floors couches and beds to settle in for the night -- after a round of dress-ups, midnight snacks, a movie, and lots of giggles, of course.
There's just something about Grandmas house that is magical and unbeatable. It is so fun to gather in the kitchen with my siblings and their spouses to visit. I am never happier than when surrounded by my big brothers and sisters and their kids. I never feel as secure, as loved and as safe than when I am in their midst, and honestly...I never laugh as hard either. Kip's naughty irreverance, Matt's stories, Katie's pee her pants laugh, and the hugs from their cute as can be kids. I LOVE IT!
Forever the younger sister, and Auntie Beeta, and proud of it. I can't wait for the family reunion!!
